Kelly Barnes, Receptionist

Hello, my name is Kelly Barnes, and I am the receptionist for SMPCC. I have enjoyed working here for a little more than five years. I graduated from the University of Louisville with a psychology degree back in 2005 and have always had a heart for helping people. I love my work welcoming clients, assisting in new client intakes, scheduling appointments with counselors and clients, and relaying messages to our counselors. I understand how difficult it can be to acknowledge you need help and finding the courage to act on it. I hope to help you in the process with finding a counselor who will be a good match for you.

Other parts of my job that I enjoy are helping make our Clinical Pastoral Education program (CPE) run smoothly via communication, organizing, clerical skills, etc. All of this work helps our CPE educators as they provide training for ministers and chaplains who are getting the certification they need to do their ministry more effectively, and to grow in their faith.
